Description

Located at the highest point of Scarborough, this scenic Fort is one of Tobago’s largest and best preserved.

With views overlooking the capital, Scarborough, this fort played a pivotal role in its defence.

There are several canons on site primarily facing the sea, pointing in easterly and westerly directions.

The Fort provides views extending as far east as Goodwood and as far west as Crown Point where on a clear day one is able to see planes land and take off. The north east point of Trinidad is visible on clear days as well as oil rigs off the coast of Trinidad at night.

There are several historical buildings on site: the Powder Magazine where gunpowder and ammunition were stored, Bell Tower used for water access, renovated Colonial Hospital, the Tobago Museum.
